This is the industry format for script coverage, commonly delivered to agents and executives who don’t have time to read an entire script, but want to get a sense of the story, characters, and assess the strength of the writing. It consists of a 1- page story synopsis and 2-3 pages of analytical comments.
This coverage is designed for the writer who prefers more detailed story notes, in place of a synopsis of his/her own story. It consists of 4-5 full pages of comments.
This service is intended for the serious writer who’s ready to polish his/her script from FADE IN to FADE OUT, with notes similar to those given by a studio executive. These are in-depth criticisms that will challenge your vision, test your structure and characterization, and raise questions about the marketability of your screenplay – in other words, not for the faint of heart! In addition to overall comments, the writer will receive notes on each page of his/her script, addressing structure, dialogue, momentum, stakes and tension, pacing, character arcs, subtext, and much more. It consists of 10-12 pages of detailed developmental notes.
